Mr. NAJARIAN! YOUR STARVING OUR CHILDREN!!!

In the recent weeks in the northern tier there has been quite the assertions Mr. Najarian, single handily has been trying to "rip off" the elected auditors. As the story goes, the elected agitators, after finishing the yearly audit have submitted their bill for payment. Apparently full payment has not been received in a timely matter so Chairman Hamm feels strongly his rights have been violated and someone should be held accountable.

Lets gang blame Mr.Najarian, he looks guilty.

Eckville Press on a recent fishing trip has gathered some interesting facts on the case.

In Chairman Hamm's defense, he feels Mr. Najarian is refusing to fork over payment for both the re-org meeting and the close out meeting. "He's trying to rip us off".

Hey, times are tough.

So now we must blame Mr. Najarian, those are the facts, case closed.

But wait, there must be more?

In the March 5, 2009 edition of the Northwestern Press (no affiliation with Eckville Press) the elected auditors praised Mr. Narjarian for transforming the township from one rife with ethics issues (chicoscoliosis) and questions as to the quality of the record-keeping. (the rife years were the years Donald Christ was appointed as Director of Operations. Who could of seen this coming?) Also the auditors praise the changes in office personnel.

Could it be Mr. Najarian was just being cautious and following the law?

The second class township code gives guidelines for payment to elected auditors and states in part,

Section 902. Auditor's Compensation.-(a) Each auditor shall receive ten dollars ($10) for each hour necessarily employed in the duties of the office upon presentation to the board of supervisors of an itemized listing of the dates, times, places and hours worked to perform the audit.

Could reasonable people agree the Second Class Township Code states the auditors bills must be presented to the Board of Supervisors which only meets once a month in order for payment to be approved?

Could we also agree, since the close-out meeting was held on February 23 2009, eleven days after the February 12 2009 supervisors meeting, the earliest the auditors could receive full payment would be the evening of the March 12 2009 after the Board of Supervisors meeting?

Or do we just blame Mr. Najarian and appease Mr.Christ?

You tell me.

Respectfully,
Eckville Press

"ECK"

Who is "Eck"?
This question has been on the minds of many folks for quite some time. Due to the up and coming election and the trouble this has been causing through out the community where many individuals have been accused of being "Eck", we at Eckville Press thought proper to publish a little information on "Eck".

"Eck" was born on October 3 1954 in Oakland, California. Like my good friend Kermit,
"Eck" too, always dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player. Oh My! Two peas in a pod.

Unfortunately that is all the info permitted for release at this time but should help narrow the "search". Good day. Going fishing.
