Yesterday and a half ago, a local resident, while walking the Eckville Nature Trail, was attacked by a man-eating polar bear. Emergency responders stood by helplessly watching this poor man being mauled, for their emergency plan for this type of incident was securely locked away in the local township building. All anyone could do was watch as the gentleman was frantically fighting off the attack. After what seemed like hours, but may have only been minutes, one local official, while out "blogger" hunting, stopped, shot, and killed this man-eating beast with a special "blogger" bullet. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the injured man and his family, for as you can see, by clicking the link below, his recovery may be long. The Eckville Press management team thought long and hard on whether to publish the photos taken at the time of the attack, but felt the public right-to-know trumps emotions. While most people view these creatures from afar as cute and cuddly, they are flesh eating beasts. We strongly advise that those with faint hearts should refrain from viewing the attack. If under the age of 18, please consult with your parents. Due to their graphic nature, the press assumes no liability for those who proceed to view the photographs. Remember, these pictures were taken during the actual attack and were not edited for viewing, you are responsible for your own decision to continue.
