Pardon Us While We Spill Your Kool-Aid

Here's an example of a answer to a question, posed by Gael Coffin, and supposedly sent to all registered Republicans.

Well, except Mr. Najarian.

Would you support hiring a certified public accounting firm to audit Lynn Township’s books?

Mike Dietrich: For every year except 2007 & 2008, the locally elected auditors have handled the audit, without ever a question from the state. The former auditors use the same standard report forms, as supplied by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). The cost of the elected auditors has averaged $1,363.54 per year for the 4 previous years of audit. In 2007 and 2008, two different CPA firms were used for the audit, at a cost of $8,800 and $10,000 respectively, with an even higher projected cost for 2009. Unless someone can point out where the former elected auditors failed, why should Lynn Township pay over $10,000 per year to have a CPA firm perform the audit, when they cannot know the township as well as the locally elected auditors? I am not against hiring a CPA firm every 5 to 8 years as an additional check on how the local auditors are doing; however, the cost of doing so precludes using them on a more regular basis.

"Unless someone can point out where the former elected auditors failed, why should Lynn Township pay over $10,000 per year to have a CPA firm perform the audit, when they cannot know the township as well as the locally elected auditors?"

Wow! like stealing candy from a baby!!!

1. Donald Christ and his Ethics Act Violations?

2. Another sitting Supervisor and his Ethic Act Violations?

3. The tax payers funds spent for this 2005 537 Plan?

4. Donald Christs aka. Director of Operations, failure to comply with the Department of Transportation's Publication 9 Liquid Fuel Tax Fund?

5. $15,000 spent on Kermit's secrete AARC Ordinance?

6. Did the Elected Auditors ever ask if Mr. Christ had anything to do with this?

7. Did the auditors ever undercover the darkness in the parks new electric panel being removed and replaced with the current three phase service that is said to be insufficient. Pay to Play, Baby!

8. How bout Kermit's in-kind service to the Mike Dietrich Campaign? Kermit using his BOS Chairmanship to stop Mel Charles from walking her dog in the park, so Mike could "get out the vote" during the Pow Wow. Oh My!

Damn those security cameras.

Best we stop?

That said, we did a little independent auditing on Mike Dietrich's campaign finance statements and found what could be a few deficiencies.

1. No mention of in-kind contribution from Kermit Delong for the "Meet The Candidate" night he claims to have held.

2. No mention of in-kind contribution from the Lynn Township Sewer Authority, for allowing Donald Christ to use their facilities for Donald's work on the campaign.
a. Political consultant.
b. Get out the vote effort.

Damn those phone records.

Perhaps rescinding the report may be in order for Chairman Baer will sing like a bird when faced with a $15,000 fine and seven years in jail. Not?

In closing, we like to commend Auditor Irvin Hamm, for the professionalism he shown during Lynn Townships metamorphosis from a township rife with ethics issues and questions as to the quality of the record-keeping, to the standards Mr. Najarians trying to put forth currently.

Actually, I did get a copy of that mailer. I don't think there was any collusion on their part.

As to the other stuff, you missed many of the bigger fiscal gaffes, now part of the public record, so I'll fail to reiterate for fear of inflamation.

But it was one auditing firm, not two, both years. And dunno where those costs came from.

The bid for 2008 (filing year 2009) from a second CPA firm (France Anderson Basile) came in at $5400. No CPA firm was appointed.

The original firm, Rensel Kuntz & Lesher, bid was not to exceed $6800 for 2006 and not to exceed $7500 for 2007.

The tax collector used to be audited by the County while she collected County property tax.

The elected auditors do not audit the tax collector, and in fact, NEVER audited the tax collector.

Remember, the tax collector takes in school tax too. Confiming Township tax assessments, Township tax receipts and amounts outstanding to the Township is NOT auditing the tax collector. But thats a whole nudder misconception purposely propounded on the masses.

Per bid, the tax collector audit, a real audit, was not to exceed $2000 for the 2006 calender year (undertaken in 2007). Cant recall if they did it again in 08, but if so, might explain in part, the inflated cost as quoted.

We're saving the bigger fiscal gaffes for November. We thinking the campaign will run Mike as a Independent come fall.

"The Conspiracy Theory, The Sequel"

When was the last time you saw a Republican and Independent "work together" to stop a Republican?

Are they running against Najarian(which makes no sense),or themselves(again, makes no sense)? It's clear however that a vote for Mike is like a vote for Kermit/Chico-they obviously think alike or why would they be "working together"?

How surreal.

Republicans against Republicans, or more correctly, responding to Republicans. Heck, what is a Primary but about a party nomination?

By Mike's reasoning, Republicans cant run against Republicans even in a Primary. Wha?

By Mike's reasoning, I shan't comment against any Republican in a Primary, even those I disagree with the one running who criticizes me openly. I am also a Republican! Is there a double standard?

Tell me, what is a Primary?

Smacks of censorship to me. I don't like censorship, party or otherwise. That begats a whole nudder story!

When was Mike, (Brian or Bethany, or any other Twp candidate here) endorsed by the Party? Even so, are you and I required to oblige? Might we be allowed to answer, respond and vote?

By Mike's proffered theory, a Republican, can't run as an Independent lest he criticize the nominated Republican.

Sift through the BS, even mine, then vote as you will! That makes a fair election!

No free pass!

Let Mike run as an independent if he shall . . . but then he might violate his own rule, lest he run against another Republican. Hmm, I smell a double standard.

(FULL DISCLAIMER: I am not on the ballot! Lest we forget!)

Double standards? Funny you mention.

The 5/28/09 NWP (no affiliation with Eckville Press) is circulating.

Apparently Delong was offended by a public comment critiquing not only his out of control spending practice but also his Pay to Play, Baby! policies.

According to the NWP (no affiliations with Eckville Press) Delong will now rule with the Golden Gavel, for from hence forth no public comment shall be directed to one isolated member but shall be directed to all members present.

Well, there goes the NWP's profits.
