"Let's Get Mikey"

Since receiving the campaign letter from the "Committee to elect Michael Dietrich",
we were reminiscent of a pre dated television commercial where two older brothers trick their younger, unsuspecting, less-informed brother into trying a new cereal.

The campaign letters closing paragraph speaks volume, and states in full,

"As the political process plays out leading up to the May 19th primary, please learn as much as you can about all the candidates. Find out who they are, what they stand for, and what agendas they may be representing. The future of our township requires citizens that are concerned and knowledgeable about the issues."

For which we concur.

Each and every voter should take this task upon themselves as such to conclude in their own un-bias opinion as to the future of Lynn Township.

The nomination petitions are available at the Lehigh County Government Center for your viewing.

"I didn't know" is not acceptable!!!

The Northwestern Press (no affiliation with Eckville Press) was very clear in their May 14 2009 edition when the wrote in part,

"With township matters often decided by a 2-1 vote with Supervisors Dave Najarian and Kermit DeLong aligned on opposite sides, the November election will likely determine the balance of power for the next two years."

That said, now is the time for Lynn Townships voting Republicans to RESCIND the bad choice they made in the 2007 primary election.

The 2008/2009 Township meeting minutes can be found here.

The campaign signs are firmly planted along the landscape, take note with who the candidates are aligned.

Do the constituents need more of this?

Or perhaps now that Kermit and Tom agree the township may have to affirm the decision of the sewer authority, (when ever that comes to be?) the constituency would like their tax dollars spent like this.

We at Eckville Press feel the most important issues in this current election are not so much about the AARC rezoning, the sewer plant expansion, or all the finger pointing, but the more important issues; ETHICS, OPEN GOVERNMENT, HONESTY, AND FISCAL PRUDENCE!!!

With those four issues in place, all the other bullshit plaguing Lynn Township will fix themselves.

In closing we will state, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then Eckville Press appropriate response to the "Committee to elect Michael Dietrich" letter can be found here.(Move the cursor over the picture for our full statement.)

Respectfully Submitted,
Eckville Press
